Ikke foreta våropprydningen akkurat nå

Gjenvinningstasjonene ønsker seg nemlig ikke mange besøkende. (english text below)

Don't make the spring clean up right now

The recycling stations do not want many visitors.

With a pandemic sweeping across our country, with associated measures such as closed schools, kindergartens, theaters and runways - it is also natural for recycling stations throughout the country to announce that they are closing or limiting their hours. The most important social mission for IKSs and municipalities in Norway is to ensure that waste collection continues as before. In order not to risk the spread of the covid-19 among their own employees, visitors are not welcomed to visit the recycling stations, and are now being notified about that all over the country.

Norsirk supports the decisions of the municipalities and the IKS. Electrical and electronic waste and batteries are not "fresh" items that need to be disposed of right now. And the same goes for last year's charcoal grill or the old sofa in the attic. If you have had a broken electric lawnmower, old cables or a high-pressure washer that no longer works in the garage throughout the winter, it may well take a few more weeks in the storage.

Therefore - although you might be cleaning the garage right now, because you are in the corona quarantine, do not visit the recycling station. Our call is that everyone follows what information your own local recycling station comes out with and adheres to the information that comes from it.
